Tin Can Man or Woman: Made using different sized cans, Twine to hold her together, bottle cap buttons, fabric scrap ties on her shoes, Candy wrapper hearts, screwed nose, picture hanger mouth, button eyes, drink carton pull tab ears, holding artifical flowers and a mini birdhouse. He had to have a bird on his bonnet. So, I made one with scrap red fabric, beads for eyes and beak. A lot of glitter too, for bling!

Upcycled Wind Chime
I finally made the wind chimes using found kitchen utensils...fun! And, hung it on the "driftwood, nuts n' bolts hook" my daughter and I made together last year.

Recycled Earth
Recycled Shopping Bags: Earth, I made with used shopping bags and cereal bags. I balled them up, taped with heavy duty tape and covered with fabric scrap because I sew. I also made these Earths for a 1st grade classroom; they decoupaged and painted them. Covering with scrap paper/magazines/newspapers would be fun too.
Happy Earth Day!

Reusable bags in Recycled Art
Reusable bag: Fun Recycle Art project for kids 10+. I like the rough cut/ripped look. If you like a tidier look, with strong glue or hot glue, hem rough edges. Materials Used: curtains cut into large rectangles and prepunched holes for easier hand sewing with threaded fabric strips. Fabric strips: Before sewing bag together, paint or decorate with fabric scrap and let it dry.
