Reusable bags in Recycled Art


Reusable bag: Fun Recycle Art project for kids 10+. I like the rough cut/ripped look. If you like a tidier look, with strong glue or hot glue, hem rough edges. Materials Used: curtains cut into large rectangles and prepunched holes for easier hand sewing with threaded fabric strips. Fabric strips: Before sewing bag together, paint or decorate with fabric scrap and let it dry.

Gifts given to elementary kids on recycling team, Star Crayons: star ice cube tray filled with broken crayons that have been peeled, chopped then microwaved and cooled til solid in fridge. Packaging: cereal bags and cereal boxes, stapled and stamped.
